An interactive journey through echos of nature

Traditional sound visualization works are basically with regular lines and geometric figures as pattern element, in order to highlight the dynamic moment of the sound.

However, Echo Sense focuses on the linearized hand-drawn style because we wanted to express: the sound, as a whole, gives visual power within a certain period of time.

So we try to use a simulation of hand painted traces to highlight the continuity of the entire screen. The strength of the sound amplitude is simulated by the intensity of the pen, and the texture of the brush is simulated with the change of the frequency. At the same time, hand-painted style also reflects the sense of life, rather than mechanically produced gauge geometries.

Rise = the feeling of nature by interacting with sound.

The selection of sound we are better bearing a “capacity”. For example, the sound that can be used to generate graphics can be a babe’s first-time cry, the sound of waves in your hometown, or the sound of all things in the woods. When one uses a unique meaning to generate the sound pattern, the pattern itself carries the meaning of the sound. Whenever one sees this pattern, it will bring back the memories of special events and scenes.
